Those who will have a hard time committing to several days of sleepless nights or keeping pace in a fast-paced environment. If this sounds like you, you will most likely find it very difficult to stay afloat.

Any student that wants to sit on their ass everyday, doing nothing but having sex and do no work or study for their test/quizzes is someone who is not accepted by SCAD because they only way you will success at SCAD is to be diligent in your artwork and respectful of the other students in their dorms studying at their own pace.

Anyone not willing to work hard, be challenged, and elevate there artistic abilities to a new level that could open the door for their dream career shouldnt attend. SCAD is certainly a challenge, however its worth the challenge to take you to the next level, and if you dont want to go to the next level, then you shouldnt apply

Art schools can get a reputation for being easy, but don't go to SCAD if you want to coast through school. Scad is not a school for people without determination. Some new students may not know exactly what they want to focus on, and that is fine as long as they have a passion to create art.

Obviously, if you're not looking for a career in the arts, this isn't the school you're looking for - but there are lots of other good colleges, good luck in finding the one that's just right for you!
