In all honesty, I would recommend attending Cosumnes Oaks High School and I'm proud that I had the opportunity to attend this school myself. Of course, it does have a small amount of the unavoidable issues that all high school's have; jocks, unfair teachers, a strict staff system. However, the benefits here definitely outweigh the negative aspects of this school. There is quite a variety of extracurricular activities here that practically anyone can indulge in, along with a system of teachers that have some genuine concerns for their student's well-beings. Not only this, but the average "drama" that a high school usually has is rather preventable, however, this depends on a student's own attitude and social group. When it comes to after high school services, this school has a career center, run by one of the most caring and helpful figures I have ever come by. For those pursuing a good education that will eventually carry them onto a good college, Cosumnes Oaks has got your back. They have many AP courses and teachers willing to tutor on their own time to help one succeed in high school and beyond. The only issue is that the staff system does not stress the importance of taking AP classes and having good grades until Junior Year-when it is too late. When it comes to taking the AP path, a student must make that decision early in their high school career. Overall, I would recommend Cosumnes Oaks High School as a school to attend, but in order to succeed here, one must be willing to be independent and make crucial decisions about their future early on in their attendance here.
