The typical student in my school is for the most part like a high school student. The newcomers tend to be more quiet and to themselves, due to the fact that they might not know anyone there. Although everyone is friendly and more open about their beliefs and group norms. The type of person that should attend McHenry County College is the person that wants a higher form of education, but is on a certain budget. Not every family can afford to pay their sons and daughters through universities that cost 6 or more thousand dollars per semester. It's also for people that want to get their general courses out of the way before thinking about possibly transferring to a normal university. Or, some people just don't want to move away from home and like driving/riding to school that's not too far away.

The typical MCC student is average and not special. We have no gifts other than the desire to commit true work for our futures.
