I did not attend high school due to my past circumstances; instead I got my GED, but I believe that the type of person attending UHCL should be able to face the constant changes of diversity in campus, should be open to new ideas, become an active and responsible learner. Overall, he or she should be willing to make a difference in him/herself as a person and future professional to later make a difference in others people's lives. It is important to have a clear and defined goal to constantly pursue.

People who are willing to learn, and not party. An average student in High School will manage to survive. Skills that are useful are problem solving skills, critical thinking ( unfortunately, freshman have to take a class for this).

A typical student of UHCL was dedicated to their school work in high school and was prepared to enter a college setting. The type of person that should attend UHCL is someone who is responsible and can handle a lot of schoolwork.

I believe the typical UHCL student would be a student that is hardworking and determined to succeed. I also believe that a UHCL student should be willing to meet culturally diverse people and classmates.
