Student, Convent of the Visitation School, Class of 2018,
At Visitation, we have many popular extracurriculars, mostly sports. The most popular sports are Swimming and Softball. However, I'd say our most popular extracurricular is a Club, CHOOSE (Stand). Our AA Swimming Team has won state for about 4 years straight, and our softball team has been named AAA section champs for about 3 years now. Even though both these achievements are wonderful, I'm most proud that we have so many students involved in CHOOSE. CHOOSE is a club we dedicate to making the right choices. It is a club where we all vow not to use drugs or drink alcohol, and stand up for what we believe in. We talk about social issues involving racism, sexism, etc. I'm proud that our school has this because so many teens now are making questionable choices like to text and drive, drink, etc. and we want to be able to make good and safe choices. I would recommend different clubs to different people, because I'm sure we have a fit for everyone. Our school has a no-cut-freshmen policy, so freshman are given the opportunity to try any new activity they'd like. I, personally, would recommend joining any sport or club you're interested in. Everyone at Visitation is so welcoming and kind, and it is a great way to make friends! Visitation is a small school, and through activities you can meet new people and become closer as a school. Everyone is so close and warm-hearted at Visitation that everyone attending there is family, and extracurriculars are a great way to engage yourself into our community.
