Hofstra is a great medium sized school with friendly people and caring professors who are very easy to work with.

1. Proximity to city and therefore to internships and opportunities but without actually living in cite
2. Small class sizes and great professors

Hofstra is a great university overall! The top 3 reasons why someone should go here is because: there are many majors and minors to choose from, there's a variety of extracurricular sports and clubs to join, and also the career center is a great way to build your resume for when you graduate!

First, they should be serious about their college career. I have friends who searched for the perfect "party " school. I wanted to work towards my future and wanted to be serious at college.

First and foremost, the fact that New York City is close enough would mean an endless amount of opportunities can be in reach for many students. Internships, or just places of interests can be found in NYC and it is easily accessible through the Hofstra shuttle and the LIRR. Secondly, its relatively small class sizes make it easier for the student to have a more of a hands on experience and to build academic student-professor relationships. Last but not least, its campus is simply beautiful, spacious, and safe.

1) For the small class sizes that make it easy to have a hands on experience and allow for students to get to know their professors. 2) There are hundreds of clubs around campus that allow for students to easily become involved on campus. There are clubs for everyone's interests and if a student wants to start a club of their own, they are able to do so. Clubs allow for students to get to know their peers and broaden their scope. 3) Hofstra is conveniently a forty-five minute train ride from New York City which gives students the chance to take field trips there for classes and to explore the city on their own with friends. The location makes it convenient for internship opportunities as well.

Whether you are a resident or a commuter, you get to take advantages of the university services. The classes are taught by only faculty who have degrees in the field that they are teaching. And the campus is so vast that there is something for everyone, from upgraded and well suited small classes, to tons of club.

Hofstra University offers many opportunities to have on the job experience. They have many clubs so there is always something to do. The education that Hofstra University has to offer is an opportunity to take advantage of.

They shouldn't. If I could go back and not go to Hofstra I would. They cut my scholarship and won't give me any additional money even though I got a 3.8 and then a 4.0 GPA and I can't get any more loans because of how many I have already taken out to pay for the first three years.

great place to be, great campus, i feel safe there and give us great opportunities to get ahead in life. this was my first option and I'm so glad i got in

1- great classes, the professors are so passionate about their subject that it is nearly impossible to get swept up into the reading as much as they do, making the class more enjoyable and much easier. 2- amazing people, no one is judgmental and everyone is so friendly and encourages individuality over "fitting in" to a clique. 3- location, HU is in perfect proximity to the big city, but far enough that it doesn't spoil the magic of NYC and doesn't distract you from your studies.

Someone should attend Hofstra University because it gives the student many opportunities to succeed (numerous internship opportunities, small class sizes allow students to get more student-to-professor time), it is close to New York city so you can enjoy the Manhattan lifestyle while living away from all the hustle and bustle, and you are surrounded by other students who are just as ambitious as yourself, so you have the motivation to do well and succeed.

1. Academics- Hofstra has amazing academic programs that range from Biology, to Dance, and includes everything in between!
2. Sports- Hofstra has incredible Division I sports teams like Lacrosse, Soccer and Baseball, not to mention a Quidditch team!
3. Activities- There are so many different things to do on campus, from free movies to free trips to the big apple, you practically have to try to get bored!

First, Hofstra's program will help broaden my horizon by providing me with an extraordinary faculty. All of Hofstra's faculty are extermly skilled and knowledgeable in their specific field.
Second, Hofstra allows me to choose the location of my internship. Many schools make that decision for their students and being given that choice will provide me with a better understanding of what fits my educational and career needs, goals, and objectives. Third, and perhaps most importantly, offering a small and intimate classroom setting in which I thrive. I feel that smaller classes often allow for better learning environments, and therefore, additional opportunities. The close, intimate setting gives students an advantage because students will be exposed to more of a personalized teaching approach compared to being taught in a lecture type classroom.

You can walk from your resident hall to your class in the matter of 10 minutes and the landscape is so pretty. Third there is always a friend around the corner if you need one. You will always find someone or a group of people who are willing to have a talk with you and learn about you. You just have to be spontaneous and start a conversation with someone the people here are so friendly.

First, Hofstra is close to New York City, and offers transportation to the train station, making city day trips easy and convenient for students. My friends and I get to explore New York City any time we want, and you can too if you come to Hofstra! Secondly, Hofstra has the feel of a big campus, yet in the classroom teachers will really get to know you personally. If you want a big campus feel, but small classroom setting, Hofstra would be perfect for you. Finally, the third reason I believe someone should attend Hofstra University is because every student that attends Hofstra is willing to make new friends and branch out! The campus atmosphere is friendly and inviting, therefore leaving no one left out!

There was a recent student outcry over dissatisfied services related to dining. The faculty has since replaced the food service program at the school with a more healthy (Award winning) provider. This school listens to their students.

We have hosted two presidential debates, and students can get involved.

The dorm rooms are almost like hotel rooms. The builds go 13 floors up, and have awesome views.

There's always something happening, whether it be a volunteering opportunity or social event, Hofstra offers a variety of clubs or organizations to choose from. Hofstra has some of the highest ranked programs in the country. New York City is a train ride away.

Because Hofstra is a great accredited school which can give you a Grade A education if you will to work for it. Also, the professor are very helpful and always willing and able to always help you with problems you may have. Finally the staff and students are very friendly and helpful always lending a helping hand from the simple things to more complicated matters. The school seems to care very much about their students, and about the future and the level of success t hat will be accomplished by graduating from Hofstra.

Someone should attend Hofstra because of their amazing Business Program, Pre-Med Program, and for those who are majoring in Communication.

. First the Professor was very attentive and really help me get back into the groove of things. Their mission was to make sure that I succeeded in what ever my goal was. Also, I found that the students and well as the staff was very friendly and more than helpful to help you with what every problems you may have whether it be studying, finding financial aid for schooling and so forth. The third and final reason is that Hofstra is on of the top school with a great education system. They are one of the best school in the state of NY.

Three reasons I think a person should attend Hofstra University is first the education provided is valuable, second the professors are experienced in their field, and three there are hands on resources to prepare the student for the real deal.

1.) Amazing student body and faculty. 2.) The campus itself is beautiful. 3.) You will get a great education along with not being just a number. Your classes will not be that big opposed to a lot of other Universities. Your teachers will actually get a chance to know you.

It is an amazing university that will ensure you can study whatever you want to. There is a place for everybody and nobody has to feel left out. One great thing is you can visit new york city on the weekends.

The professor's here are fantastic, they are always willing to help and provide any type of recommendation. The people, as in students and staff, are really helpful and mostly friendly. The sports and athletic environment, our sports teams are top notch and the games are great to watch with friends.
