Marsh Valley is a small town community. Students that go here should expect to know almost everyone they go to school with. We are all friends and we are all here for each other. It's a very supportive setting.
A type of student who should attend Marsh Valley would have to be someone who doesn't mind being in the middle of nowhere. There are cows next to the school, and across the street, so sometimes it smells. Also, this school is pretty small so you would have to be used to knowing everyone and everyone knowing you.
The typical Marsh Valley High School student is content with living on the outskirts of towns. Our school is very small and some students travel a longer distance from their homes to school; therefore, we as students respect our peers and faculty due to knowledge of the length they all probably traveled. The students at Marsh Valley are a very close knit family in a way. We all respect each other and genuinely care for one another. For example, a couple years ago one of our students passed away in a tragic car accident. The next day everyone wore flannel shirts in respect for him because that was his favorite thing. The students at Marsh Valley may seem different on the outside but on the inside we all truly care about one another and we would all drop everything to be there for one of our peers. Marsh Valley is known for its unique students because there is just a little bit of everything as far as cliques; but at the end of the day we all know we are equal and we come together when needed.
