At National Cathedral School, athletics are a huge part of student life. I do Tae-Kwon-Do as an independent project, so I cannot recommend any particular school sport. Another extracurricular activity most students participate in at one point in high school is writing for the Discus, which is the school newspaper. I have worked as its opinion and editorials editor for more than a year, and I would definitely strong textrecommend participating in the Discus' activities. Another popular extracurricular is volunteering, as our school requires at least 60 hours of community service and encourages extra volunteering. I believe that community service is an amazing way to spend one's time, and should be always be a part of one's life.

The three most popular extracurricular activities are the Chorale, a group of singers that performs in the National Cathedral as well as at other schools and churches, the crew team, nationally ranked and extremely rigorous, and the performing arts department plays and musicals, which are put on three times a year.
