Yes I would strongly recommend attending Chicago High School for The Agricultural Sciences, while at first I did not know what I was getting myself into, I'm glad I did. CHSAS has a lot to offer wither it be a sport , club or academic team. CHSAS has something for everybody and a place for everybody. CHSAS prides itself on its diversity and how races and cultures interact and teach each other. I've made life long friends who are successful, but want to see me be successful and want to help me reach my dreams. Everyone here is extremely friendly and kind, the upper class men are always willing to answer any questions that younger students may have. Our sports teams pride themselves in not only being successful but also in working together and becoming friends with people that they might not have before. Since CHSAS specializes in agriculture, FFA is a program that bring the whole school together and offers so many wonderful things to the students. All in all I would recommend CHSAS to all upcoming freshman that I know because it really is a special place.

Honestly I would not recommend CHSAS because although it is a great school that consist of many intelligent students, the staff slacks responsibility. For example there are a lot of complaints on updates on student transcripts, also service learning hours have not been put in since the year 2013, and there has been a shortage of teacher since that year as well. Although they have many activities to chose from they do not have a program such as avid or gear up that can help with upcoming college opportunities

I would recommend it if I had the choice because our school is so unique. Step outside and you're either looking at our corn field or chicken coop. We have so many opportunities and we aren't just focused on Agricultural topics. We encourage every student to follow whatever they choose. You don't have to be a farmer to enjoy our school. My eyes have been opened to what is all out there as far as colleges and jobs are concerned. We get chances to do foreign exchanges, I'm going to Paris! There are once in a lifetime chances occurring every single day at our school for every type of student and to pass up a school like we have in urban Chicago is insane. I get to learn how to build on one end of the school then go tend to a horse on the other while in between I can learn about the science of our food. I am so lucky to have gone and be graduation from that school. They even offer AP and Honors classes for students. I've always had to be challenged and this school knew exactly how to do it.

I'd recommend attending CHSAS. It's a unique school where you'll learn various useful skills through hands-on experiences. It's truly unlike any other school.
