The type of individual who would thrive the most at an environment such as Florida Atlantic University is one who values the idea of a one on one relationship. due to FAUs size it is beneficial to an individual who is self-driven, and interested in creating their own opportunities. there are more opportunities to start clubs earn leadership roles and develop personal bonds with your professors and your peers. In some colleges you'll be lucky to run into the same person twice in a semester, whereas FAUs community is very tightly coupled. you see familiar faces on a regular basis and there's never a shortage of things to accomplish if you think big. not to mention the fact that the beach is literally 5 minutes away from the campus. During my four years I have been fortunate enough to serve as the Founder and President of Scientific Mentoring for Academic Research Training club (S.M.A.R.T), President of the Multicultural Greek Council, Treasurer of Lambda Theta Phi, Director of health Promotion and Advocacy for the American Medical Student Association, completion of my honors thesis, earned an undergraduate research grant, became the first to be awarded the 2016 Student Impact Award at FAU and was most recently inducted into the Greek hall of fame.
