I don't regret attending Southwest High School. The teachers are well trained and excellent and they show that they care about their job as well as their students. The staff and students here are easy to communicate with. There are well managed programs that mentors students to prepare for college such as Architecture Chemical Engineering (ACE) for those students who want to become engineers. Also, there is Upward Bound and Compact for Success. There are a variety of sport and clubs you can join. I personally feel safe at this school and students here are very well spirited demonstrating their pride. I barely notice any bullying or harassment on campus. Most students here are motivated to determined to go to college.

A typical student at my school is very loud and dedicated to their friends. Games are loud and a large percentage of the student body turns out to support the team. I think the ideal person to attend my school is already there. We also have an extremely high graduation rate so we must be doing something right.

A typical student at Southwest High is extremely hard-working. Where my school is located money is not abundant in many families. In my school most students have a higher education already than their parents. For that reason students are more determined to succeed. Just like me most students believe that education is the path for a better and successful life.
