The type of student who should attend Capella University needs to possess characteristics such as self-discipline and good time management skills. The enrollment counselors, academic counselors and financial aid counselors all work hard to see the student succeed; however, the student must take ownership of their education and do the research and work required to succeed! Since it is online, the student must also be able to ask questions and to have the skills to research their answers on the university's website, which is user-friendly.

The type of student who should attend Capella University should be a student that is self-motivated, disciplined, manages their time well, and works at a quick pace. Capella University allows students to receive the help they need through professors, tutors, and coaches. I is a school for students who may be employed or have children and need access to education in an online format. It allows a student to move at their own pace, whether that be extremely quickly or a little slower and take the time they need to comprehend the content of each course and build their background in their specific discipline.

I am work toward my second masters degree. Upon graduating I hope to use my education and background to help individuals with developmental disorders and psychological disorders who have become part of the criminal justice systems as victims or perpetrators. I hope to help these individuals to reform and recover in order to avoid becoming habitual offenders. This population is very under serviced in this area and is high risk to become victims of interpersonal and financial crimes. Because they are unable to process the acts perpetrated upon them, they often go on to commit these crimes against others as well. I hope to combat this cycle.
