Three reasons that someone looking to attend Hamline should actually attend Hamline are that the environment is that of a family. We all work together when it comes to cheering on a sports team or at a play. The next reason is that because of how many different kinds of people there are, you will definitely find your people, and maybe even find friends you never thought would be your friends. The third reason is that because the school is a smaller school and it is private, it is almost always guaranteed that if you need to meet with a professor about something, you can do so without appointment. And the academics are to die for.

If they are looking to better themselves in more than what their intended major is, if they want a college atmosphere that is unlike any other, and if they want a high quality education with a small college feel.

  1. The professors are extremely intelligent and helpful. Since class sizes are so small, you really get more attention from a professor than most high school teachers give.
  2. You can be anything here. I truly believe that Hamline gives you all the tools to be successful and it's up to you to take those tools. I'm going into my Junior year, and I'm a triple major, hold many leadership positions and have a good paying job that is already in my field. You really can become very successful attending Hamline.
  3. It's extremely supportive. Hamline is a very supportive community, from free therapy and psychiatry sessions, to groups of people who have your best interest.

I personally transfered to Hamline for small class sizes and academic rigor. If you want to grow as a student, and as a person, Hamline is the school for you. A third reason, which draws from the previous two, is the personal relationships one can foster with Hamline professors.

The number one reason is the small-school feel in the middle of the city Hamline has to offer. Sometimes I forget that I'm surrounded by the Twin Cities! Number two is the people who make up the student and staff population. As cliché as it sounds, we really are one big family! Number three is the many different options Hamline has to offer! We have such a huge range in academics, organizations, and other opportunities such as study abroad, internships, etc. You can find almost anything here! And if it isn't here yet, it is very easy to start up a new group or help change/add something onto campus

Students should attend Hamline because of its' diversity. Students would be introduced to new experiences, cultures, and religions that are important diversity relationships obtain for future jobs and life in general. They should also attend because of the professor to student ratio. Since Hamline is a small school the professors know every student by first name and make the interaction not only about academics, but about life as well. Professors truly care about the students. The last reason is because of the activities Hamline provides. The little activities that are put on every weekend make a big difference and benefits every students' college experience. Other larger activities such as having the opportunity to study abroad or attend a missionary trip are incredible as well.

  1. You have money.
  2. You feel like it would be cool to attend the first university in Minnesota.

The top three reasons, which are similar to my own, to attend Hamline University are if it feels right, if it challenges you, and if it teaches you lessons beyond what you learn in the classrooms. If being at Hamline gives you a good vibe, chances are that you are meant to be there. If you like the people who you interact with on Hamline's campus, if you like how Hamline's campus is like physically and mentally, and if you feel like you are at home then it is the place for you. In addition, if Hamline courses and its' staff are challenging you in someone way and you are learning more than what you have came with then you need to be there. You need to be there to challenge your knowledge in order to expand it and grow as an individual. Moreover, if visiting Hamline teaches you a lesson beyond just the classroom and encourages it, such as don't be afraid to ask questions, then you have all the reasons to be there and to continue to be a challenger and a risk-taker.

The most important reason is that the academics are rigorous. As one of the top universities in the Mid-West, students are expected to pursue their interests and continue to grow as a person. There are also many clubs and organizations that students can join to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom. Another thing that can't be forgotten is the support students can find, whether in their dorms, classes, or administration. The environment is very welcoming and comfortable.

My top three reasons someone should attend Hamline are 1). Hamline is a very gracious and welcoming place. They made me feel special when I had my first visit witch prompted me to want to attend even more. 2).The fact that they are remolding the campus and updating things is always a plus for me and should be for others. none wants to attend a run down university. 3). My third and final would have to be the fact that they have a variety of athletics on and off campus, FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN.

The top ten reasons to attend Hamline is one: the academics. The academics at Hamline are very individualized (small class sizes and it's easy to get a hold of the professors). Second, is because of it's location; it's only a short bus ride to downtown St. Paul where you can go see a game at the Xcel Center or shop around in all of the little boutiques. Third, is the people; I love being a part of such a diverse student body. I once sat in between a girl from Portugal one one side and a guy from Switzerland on the other.

You are interested in a top notch education, where a connection with professors is not a fantasy - it's a reality. You want to be on a well ranked campus that feels homey, but want all the amenities and benefits of a large metropolitan area. Hamline is a very diverse campus, so it is a very cool school to go to. It also has amazing academics and great professors who care about you and your education. It is also a small school, so you are known by your name by most of the faculty and staff on campus.
