How do meal plans work?

If you have a meal plan--which you most likely will at least your first year--then you will have a combination of meals and dining dollars. Each meal you have is one “swipe,” which usually offers you either a main dish with a side and drink or complete access to all-you-can-eat-style dining halls. Dining dollars work like cash and allow you to buy meals for however much they cost without using a meal; they also work at a variety of mini convenience stores around the campus and in residence halls!
