The university is small so you'll have an easier time getting to know the teachers and other students. You'll connect with others more easily than at other campuses.

1) Small campus and student to teacher ratio which gives a friendly social environment for you to learn, network, and make friends. 2) Over 90% of professors have PhD, therefore professors are very knowledgeable of what they are teaching. 3) The faith based mission of the school attracts employees and students that are especially well rounded and aspire to become better people while encouraging others around them to do the same.

Attend this university if you want to push yourself. The curriculum is rigorous as it's a private Catholic liberal arts college. There are no slackers here, and no slacker culutre. Nobody pays the UST tuition of $40,000+ and doesn't take it seriously-so you can expect fantastic teaching, interesting students with grand visions and a beautiful campus. Attend if: 1. You want to be thourougly educated, not just in regards to your major. 2. You want to be tried and tested, and ulitimatley bettered as a person. 3. You want to achieve more than your freinds or even family thought you could. Students here go far, and if you tackle each day head on, this university will equip you with the know-how to go even farther.

Typically, UST students are Catholic, because the university is Catholic. Most of them are science oriented, following the pre-med or pre-nursing tracks, but many are education students as well. Most are from the Houston area or other places in Texas.

I feel St. Thomas is a really good school with high quality professors. The classes are generally small with under 30 students and the setting of the campus is beautiful. It is small enough but in a city with plenty to do.

The professors are very helpful, since classes are small. Everyone here treats you "more like a person and less like a number", as a counselor once put it. The campus may be small, but it is beautiful in it's own way, thanks to the custodians, especially the chapel. Finally, there is always some event being held by some club, so one has many chances of making new friends.

Our school is founded on the principles of Jesus Christ and wish for our students to find the balance between faith and reason. We believe that our curriculum is opened to many students of varied faiths and respect the views and beliefs of others. We are taught that going the extra mile for our fellow students teaches us how to become better human persons and hopefully become leaders of faith and character.
