Brian Monetti, I work at Noodle Education!
Hello! Thanks for the feedback. One of the main sources for college information on Noodle is IPEDS, which is a government dataset relating to colleges and universities. We actually use this dataset for determining which schools we will collect information on, as well as which degrees they offer. The data is published each year, and the last time it was published was last summer, and that data was relating to the previous school year, so our data is slightly out of date. We will be updating this as soon as new information is published, which should be in the coming months, and it will hopefully reflect the change.
We have researched this problem for NYU-Poly, and realized that if we combine the information into the NYU profile, it will not be a fully accurate portrayal of NYU because we would be describing degrees and programs which are not necessarily correct, as well as other information such as address, contact information, and application information. We also did not want to remove the profile either, because much of the information is still very relevant to students and prospective students (such as the Noodle Report Card at the top of the profile describing selectivity, outcomes, etc, as well as the listed website of http://www.poly.edu redirecting to http://engineering.nyu.edu/ )
So in the end, the profiles of the two schools should be correct soon, as long as they are recognized as two separate institutions in the upcoming IPEDS publication! Thanks again!
