I was just looking at some colleges because my family and I are moving to Charlotte when I go to college and ran across this one that looks fairly nice and was wondering how good your doctors program was?

Anonymous, Did some research

It seems that UNC Charlotte does not offer any formal, structured pre-health “programs”. Instead, students follow pre-health “tracks”, which are not formal programs. “Tracks” allow freedom for students to pick most any major on campus and design a timeline and course plan that best fits their individual needs. If you have any specific questions you should email Pre-Health Advising at PreHealth@uncc.edu or you could even try to schedule an appointment. Opportunities and services available to students include:

  • Strong academic preparation in the required pre-medical “core” of classes
  • Broad selection of recommended science and non-science classes
  • Pre-Medical Advising for academic and nonacademic requirements for medical school admissions
  • Assistance with the application process, including essay preparation and interviews
  • UNCC Pre-Professional Faculty Evaluation Committee that prepares composite recommendation letters on the student’s behalf
  • Opportunities to become involved in research
  • Student clubs that offer guest speakers, community service opportunities, and support
