Being a student at Oxford High School has been an incredible experience. Each student is given opportunities that help prepare us for our bright futures. Each day, the faculty and staff shows how much they care about us, our studies, and we are treated professionally. The school has a wide range of activities including a number of academic clubs, athletics, and career planning activities. I have made life-long friendships with many other students and, as a team, we are constantly learning to work both independently and as teams to simulate or future studies and careers. If this type of learning atmosphere is what you are looking for, you should attend Oxford High School. If you are looking for career planning and multiple learning paths for any number of interests including; broadcasting, health and science, automotive repairs, performing arts, engineering, Oxford High School is the place for you. Oxford High School is new and small. The class of 2016 will only be the seventh class to graduate. There are less than 600 students in the school. It just recently became accredited. I am providing this background to provide insight as to the type of student who should attend Oxford High School. Given the size of the school, the resources are limited. Because of this, a student must be self-motivated. He or she must be willing to serve as a self-advocate. While the teachers are willing to help, the student must take the initiative to seek support when needed. An ambitious student who empowers themselves to seek the most out of his or her high school career will do best at Oxford.

You should attend OHS if you like sports. We are a very competitive school here in Northern Oakland County. Although we are competitive, we are a very close-knit community.

The type of student that attends Oxford High is a student who isn't rich, but just a student trying to finish school. This student most likely didn't choose Oxford, but it was most likely best for his/her parents. Most students go to school just to get a diploma. That's what your taught to do when you grow up. Go to school make good grades and get a diploma. Soon after they'll have to go to college and also get good grades.

Oxford High School, home of the Wildcats, is for the student who would benefit from the support of not only their family but the entire community. It's in a small city with a little downtown that is the heart of community. It is here where you will find the businesses that support the athletic teams and other school groups. You will find the traditional Homecoming parade with the families cheering for the children of all ages marching in the parade. Entire families attend the football games in the Fall. Parents come together to cheer for the players of Oxford High School. A sense of togetherness. Raising the village of young ones together. A place where many students choose not to leave. If they leave, many times it's only temporary. When it's time to have children of their own, It's common to return to Oxford to cheer on their own little Wildcats.
