I currently am in my fourth year as an FFA (future farmers of America) member. We participate in a lot of activities within our program. Our focus is learning everything we can about agriculture and about giving back through community service. Every year we are required to have a SAE project. I have raised goats two years and a dairy feeder one year. This year I plan to raise another dairy feeder and a goat. Once we raise the animals we take them to county fair for show and then sale. I am also involved in National Honor Society. National Honor Society also focuses on community service and organizing school functions. Of course as most schools we have sports. I love to go watch football and show my arrow pride.

The three most popular extra curricular activities at Tecumseh High School are Football, Choir/Musical, and AFJROTC. These are the three major cliques at THS. There are some people who are in more than one or in all three, but, they usually drop out of two of the groups and just stay in one for the rest of their high school career. The Football players look down on all other society except for cheerleaders, the Choir/Musical students do not communicate with the jocks and act like they don't know the nerds (AFJROTC). The ROTC students act like they are the coolest kids in the school but they really are just really outgoing in an odd sort of way. I have personally been in all three groups at my high school and struggled with ROTC because the teacher plays favorites with the drill team cadets and you do not feel welcome if you are not part of this team. I just recently dropped out of the football group because my team mates did not treat me as an equal but rather as someone they could make fun of because I was not as good at the sport as select others. So now I have been in musical for two years and have loved it, I am also going into my first year of Advanced Mixed Chorus which is the highest of the highs for Music people beside getting the lead role in the musical. These are the most popular extra curricular activities at Tecumseh High School.

The three most popular extracurricular activities at Tecumseh High School are Track, Football, and the Spring musical. As an active member of the Tecumseh Theatre Drama Department, I highly recommend participation in the spring musical. I speak from experience that musical elevates students' public speaking abilities and their self esteem. Most importantly, they get to have fun while working on team in a family like atmosphere. At Tecumseh High School, each cast becomes a family, and each cast member walks away with memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
