Parent of student at Arbor Preparatory High School,
The three extracurricular activities at Arbor Preparatory High School that are most popular are Student Council, Yearbook, and Wms/Mms Basketball. These activities help foster friendships and encourage community within and outside of school. The teachers provide support to the students and encourage all to find an interest and get involved. Kids may not initially know or care to participate but with support and encouragement from fellow students, most will find that they will enjoy their chosen activities As a parent of a men's basketball player, I would recommend the basketball program. For students who are very active and have an interest in personal fitness, team building and competition; this is the sport for you. Both the Women's and the Men's Basketball programs at Arbor Preparatory are competitive and rigid. Students must take responsibility for their success on and off the court. The staff and administrators show concern for all student athletes to be well-rounded, responsible and good examples of student character, values and morals. Students on the team may find themselves in a position to be role models for other students throughout the school and this helps Arbor Preparatory set itself apart from other local schools.
