At SPSCC the students there love to play dodge ball. Not the norm right? It may not be but it is a unique and fun experience for us students. There is an actual team but if you're not that dedicated to being pummeled by a ball, you can go for independent games set up to give students a place to play and stay active. At my school there are also tons of guest speakers who come through. Usually there is food and a chance to ask questions afterwards creating a fun environment for students to learn and connect. For me and for many of my friends, the most fun thing at SPSCC is just being able to hang out inbetween classes because there are so many great hang out spots. My friends and I have a corner where there are a lot of comfy chairs to sit and get the change to catch up.

Three things SPSCC students do for fun include, but are not limited to, joining clubs or student government or, my personal favorite, playing intramural sports like volleyball, or soccer.

I am new to the College after recently transferring. However, so far I have been invited to and plan on joining a writing club, attended a fun renaissance fair and taken part in some wonderful study groups.

First, students enjoy being part of the competitive intercollegiate sport programs such as men's soccer, men and women's basket ball, and softball that compete at the local, regional, and national level. Secondly, students have a great time joining numerous clubs from Anthropology to Welding clubs. Thirdly, students have fun attending plays performed by members of the drama program at SPSCC's Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts.

  1. A lot of students for fun will go to the student union building or the diversity and equality center and play board games while studying, play piano and sing, act out plays.
  2. Go down the road to the capital mall to get a quick stress release lunch, dinner, or go on a date in between open class time.
  3. Open, organize, and actively participate in clubs which are a large part of getting the community and studets together to go out on trips and get to meet new people.

I feel like one of the fun things my friends and I do at South Puget Sound Community College is just sitting in the diversity room upstairs. It's a place in the school where anyone can go togged away from any judgmental thoughts or actions they were having or going through outside of that room. Everyone gets together or just sprawls apart in the room, its just a great place to go if you want to fit in without being judged.

Another place I love going at South Puget Sound Community College is the Student Union Building, I mean it is where the cafeteria is! Plus, there is a piano in the room and if you feel up to it you can just go up to it and play something for the room or your friends.

The last place I love doing at South Puget Sound Community College would have to be walking around the campus. The main campus is located in Olympia Washington, we are surrounded by trees, and trails and even some forests. It's so soothing, a great way to get away from some stress while being on campus still.
