National Honors Society, the Rocket Rowdies, and the Peer Leaders Club are in my eyes, the best and most popular activities. National Honors Society is a competitive society in which you must send in an application and be chosen. For me, its a great way to get in volunteer work. Coming up we have a blood drive at our school. And throughout the year we hold toy drives, clothes drives, and food drives. It is a great way to give back to the community. The Rocket Rowdies is our student section at sporting events. This club plans out themes for each games, and comes up with new cheers to keep the crowd and team going. This club is one of the most fun at our school and it is a great way for anyone to show off their school spirit. The Peer Leaders Club is a new club that has not gained a lot of popularity yet, but it definitely has the potential to. Members of this club are assigned to a freshman study hall that they are to visit a few times a month. We talk to them about upcoming events and ways to get involved since as Freshman they don't quite know when all the events are. By 2nd Semester, the freshman in my assigned study hall really began to trust me and look up to me. I was getting more personal questions and I was really able to make an impact on their year. Peer Leaders was a very rewarding experience for me, as I struggled a lot my freshman year. At Central, we have a club for just about anything. And everyone has a different opinion on which ones are the ones to join. For anyone who attends Central High School, I would recommend these three clubs to get involved, but then I would tell them to check out all clubs, because they will all just make your High School experience more memorable. These activities are ones I will remember for the rest of my life.
