Athens is built around the university so the community is very involved with the college. You will experience the 4 seasons and venture out into the beautiful surroundings.
To attend Ohio State, I believe you have to love a big campus and become ready for a challenge. Ohio State classes are very challenging and you may even consider changing your lifestyle a bit.

I think that Ohio University is the school where anyone and everyone can fit in. I do not think there is a specific type of student for this school. Everyone that I have met in my first year has been so friendly and willing to be my friend. You obviously have to be serious about your education because why else would you spend thousands of dollars on school? There are programs and activities for everyone to be apart of. So many free opportunities to get help in your class. If you love the home feeling and love making friends then this is the school to go to! It's not too big and the campus is absolutely beautiful!
There are endless types of students who should consider attending Ohio University. As with any institution out there, one can be the perfectly suited candidate for the existing environment or can be the person to help instill revolutionary changes.
