The 3 extracurricular activities that are most popular at Desert Edge High School are: Football, Baseball and Track and Field. For the last five years, the football team has achieved playoff status and this year won the Arizona Division 3 State Championship. Therefore, DE Football has increased in popularity amongst attending and future students as well as community members. The varsity baseball coach at DE has committed several hours to building a strong program with past, present and future players. Additionally, he has partnered with Little League and Club Baseball programs to offer various clinics to develop skills and also works with an outside, volunteer, turf consultant, in order to provide his players with top, quality fields. These qualities are impressive to both players and parents. Finally, Track and Field attracts many students to the program. The track team offers a variety of events for all skill levels. The coaches believe as long as a student is willing to put forth effort, there will be a place for them on the team.

The most popular extracurricular programs, which are football, FFA, and NHS; are based on the fact that Desert Edge is a school based around Sports Medicine, Agriculture, West-MEC, and Business. Personally, though, I would recommend the Art Club if you like that sort of thing, since we will soon begin a system in Conservation of the Arts as well.
