Would you recommend attending Nouvel Catholic Central High School if you had the choice? Why or why not?

Anonymous, Student, Nouvel Catholic Central High School, Class of 2016

I absolutely do recommend attending Nouvel Catholic Central High School. In fact, my freshman year, I did have a choice. My family had been living in Wisconsin and moved to Saginaw, Michigan in February of 2012. Heritage High School and Nouvel Catholic Central were my options. I looked up their websites and spent time trying to learn about each school. I also conversed with students from each school, asking about their sports teams I wanted to try out for, their teachers, and fellow students. What I found was that the academic achievement coming from Nouvel surpassed that of all the other area high schools. For instance, in the year 2014 the average state of Michigan ACT score was a 20.1 while the Nouvel average was a 23.5. Being a person of strong Catholic faith, I was also looking forward to an experience where that faith could be strengthened by education and weekly mass. Another factor I liked was the small class sizes and student to teacher ratio. Nouvel has about 290 students and a ratio of 13:1 student to teacher.
While statistics like these were impressive, I was ultimately convinced by the atmosphere of the school. I met some very kind, welcoming students the day I toured and have loved every day at Nouvel since. My school is truly a place that I am passionate about; it's my second home! For this reason, I would recommend Nouvel Catholic Central to anyone. I believe that all students and families alike will be impressed with the opportunities my school has to offer and will love Nouvel just as I and my fellow students do.
