Student, Arbor Preparatory High School, Class of 2016,
Students that want to be prepared for college should go to Arbor Prep. At this school they push you hard to reach your academic goals, but also work their hardest to meet your academic needs. If you're a person that likes to have outside-of-class work time or instructional time, all of our teachers are really understanding and stay after school for an hour or more almost every day, and they all check their emails frequently (so you can email them from the school laptop each student receives!) This academic support and focus on college preparedness helps students to not only get accept to the school of their dreams, but also bring in some serious scholarships. Arbor Prep isn't for everyone, though. Certain clubs meet more than once a week and at different times, but for the most part students have to limit themselves to one club, because they all meet after school on Mondays. We have a somewhat limited number of sports, but we really shine at the sports we do have, like basketball, volleyball, cross country, soccer, and baseball. Arbor prep is a small school with small class sizes, which is great for some kids, but terrible for others. Despite those things, my experience at Arbor Prep has been great and I'm excited to graduate with a group of intelligent and unique individuals this spring.
