Southington high school, or the school to go to if extra curricular activities is a best interest. This school features activities from football and drama all the way to less popular ones such as field hockey and debate club. The top of the list for most popular activities would definitely consist of football, robotics and interact. Football is the heart of Southington's athletics when how much training and time the coaches and players put into winning states repeatedly is considered. Not only are they good, they are widely appreciated and cheered on by the faculty and staff as well. Surely, this activity is for anyone looking to be a big part of what brings together school spirit. If an educational ride of computer and mechanical science is what one is in search for, then look no further, robotics is exactly that. This group of intelligent intellectuals deeply invest themselves into their problem solving state of mind to figure out how to make a robot do certain tasks efficiently and effectively. Being apart of the team will also give many opportunities of travel to competitions out of state and other field trips for educational purposes. Any of the team members can plainly say that if anyone has an interest in travel/deep thinking then join the robotics train. Rugby is a similar sport to football that originated in England, however, no one would ever hear one of the players say they that the two sports are similar at all. To really feel the effectiveness of this sport, toughness, agility, and strategical thinking are needed to make the team feel in unison with each other. Apart from the emotional involvement when the players work together, the activity does not discriminate. That is right, there is a female team as well and they do even better than the men when they compete. Strong recommendations are given to any female athlete that is looking for a tough sport to play. Southington high school is home to many exciting sports and clubs that should be considered. The opportunities given at this high school are many in numbers and success and to any new student I would suggest to do the activity that he or she would want to do because they might not get that chance again.
