Jules Csillag, learning specialist & speech-language pathologist
All public pre-kindergarten programs in New York City are required to provide speech language pathology/speech therapy services if your child is deemed eligible for those types of services (either at their pre-K, or at your home or a clinic). Near(ish) William O'Connor, the Northside Center for Child Development has a reputation for providing strong services to children with a variety of disabilities, including speech and language delays or disabilities. Although they are a private institution, their early childhood, head start, and pre-kindergarten programs are free (and include transportation, breakfast, and lunch), although eligibility may be based on income and eligibility for special education services. Contact their TECC intake coordinator to find out more.
