A student who is irresponsible should not attend Westchester, it takes a lot of responsibility to pass the school year, every project,test/quiz, classwork/homework, affects your grade if its not turned in on time.

The type of student that shouldn't attend Westchester Academy would be someone that doesn’t like to put forth effort. In any class participation and attention is a necessity to understand the material and to be able to understand the proceeding lessons. If a student doesn’t want to put forth the effort to pay attention or participate in class activities they will have a hard time learning. Also a student that doesn’t want to focus on academics shouldn’t attend because most of the classes and all the programs that are offered there focus purely on academics.

I think everyone has the right to attend Westchester but it might not be easy for them. I would say that people who give up without putting a lot of effort into school work should not attend this school.

A student who doesn't take their education seriously should not attend a rigurous school like WAIS. If student is involved in outside-of-school activities for a great amount of time, student should decide which comes first. Teachers mostly assign homework every day, and this may take a few hours to complete.

I don't think there's a type of student who shouldn't attend Westchester as its an International school where anyone is welcomed no matter their ethnicity but as well students who aren't that good in school get help from the teachers and even students to get better. Even though there's not much sports and teams, they give you the opportunity to play for a different high school, but still get education at Westchester Academy so it's a good place for anyone to attend.

Westchester Academy is not a place for students that want to learn by route. The IB program, which is Westchester's best feature, focuses on in depth analysis and promotes individual thinking. Therefore students must be open to new ideas and think with a mind of their own. By forming their own opinions and observing the world through a new lense they are able to more cohesively relate what they learn in the classroom to real life.
