Student, Brookings High School - 01, Class of 2016,
3 of the most popular extracurricular activities at our high school are, Music, Theatre, and Football. Football is the obvious popular with everyone, with games Friday nights, and participating in pep assemblies, and so forth. Music at our high school is a big deal, our band has over 100 members every year, our orchestra has seen a large continual increase over the past several years, and our choirs consist of anywhere from 200-300 people on any given year. The extracurriculars I would recommend are Theatre and Debate. I have participated in both over the past four years of mu high school career, and both open up people to new opportunities and experiences. The theatre productions always have a variety of different people of different cliques around the school, creating the opportunity to make new friends. Debate similarly provides opportunities for this by hanging around different people, however it also gives the chance to go to other schools and interact in a different setting, and allows one to meet other students from other schools around the state.
