My son participates as a varsity pitcher on a baseball team - it is his favorite activity. He also is the lead guitarist in our family's band. Additionally, he volunteers at sports based events thoughout the county we live in

As a home schooled students, there is a wide variety of extracurricular activities, limited only by location and the amount of money available. I have participated in fencing for sports. I participated in a drama club, both acting and operating the lights. I participate in Boy Scouts. All of these activities are fun and recommended.

Drama, track, and crew are the most popular. I personally am not an athlete, but I do recommend pursuing theatrically training.

The three most popular activities are Homeschool Performing Arts (HPA), the Homeschool Christian Youth Association, and any of the Cougars' sports. I would highly recommend HPA if you're interested in theater and drama. It is a wonderful organization and provides a great extracurricular activity for homeschoolers.

I am a home schooled student. There are lots of opportunities in our area. 1. Home School Sports(teams for volleyball, basketball, etc.) 2. Home School Art(a local art teacher provides high school level art classes for local home schooled students). 3. Music lessons(I play the drums)

Home schooling allowed the freedom and flexibility to learn at my own pace which enabled me to graduate high school with a 3.8 gpa one year ahead of others and 28 dual college credits

What extra curricular activities can a home-schooler do, you ask? Hmm... 1. You can participate in home school co-ops, where you can take fun (or for credit) classes with other home-schoolers in your community once or twice a week. Its a good way for home-schoolers to socialize. 2. Sports. Some home-schoolers join organized or club sports. 3. Volunteerism. Many home-schoolers choose to participate in volunteer activities, either with an organization, or on their own. I would recommend joining a co-op if you are home-schooled. It is the best way to meet other kids like you in your area, and you not only can take classes there, but some co-ops offer other things such as dances, field trips, sports, graduation ceremonies, and other activities, so it is a good way enrich your home school experience without missing out on what most student get to do in traditional schools.

I love being schooled at home and with friends at our co-op. As a home school group, we do a lot of extracurricular activities including: CYT, 4H, and sports. Each one of these activities is incredibly popular at our school. I completely recommend CYT. It is a program where kids can learn how to dance, sing, and even act in front of large audiences of people. They host a musical every month for the city and it is a great way to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people.

Theatre is really popular among homeschoolers in this area. Basketball would be a second common activity. Finally, orchestra also represents a prevalent extracurricular activity. While I enjoy all three of these, theatre is my favorite and the one I recommend to people.

Most kids I know really enjoy Homeschool Performing Arts, soccer, or volleyball! I would definitely recommend trying Homeschool Performing Arts (HPA). It is so much fun, and you make so many new friends. It's especially fun if you love theater, because you get to spend the school year preparing a show.
