Cleveland State’s Nance College of Business Administration offers an Executive MBA program designed to help students broaden their expertise without interfering with their careers. The program begins with a weeklong “Manager’s Workshop” residential orientation, a time that also includes academic work and team-building exercises. This is one of few weeks in the entire program that interrupt students’ working time.
Once that orientation is concluded, classes for the remainder of the 19 months meet primarily on Saturdays and occasionally Friday evenings, minimizing time off work without sacrificing academic rigor. Classes focus on developing strategic decision-making and integrative management skills, with an emphasis on small study groups and a balanced approach to the major business disciplines. Other key program features include frequent guest speakers from various industries and an international travel experience.
