Xavier Elementary consists of four campuses within five minutes drive from each other. They are: Early Childhood Center Preschool; Primary Campus Kindergarten through grade 2; Intermediate Campus Grades 3, 4, 5; Middle School Campus Grades 6, 7, 8. Each is strategically located next to one of Leavenworths Catholic churches, benefiting from the support of the local parishes and clergy. Children attend Xavier from Leavenworth, Lansing, Ft. Leavenworth (including children of International Officers posted at Ft. Leavenworth), and surrounding communities including Platte City, Kansas City, Basehor, and Bonner Springs. The enrollment at Xavier Elementary School is approximately 370 students. The Curriculum is designed to lead students to a positive self-image, integration of faith and life, service to others, and the development of basic and special skills in a Catholic atmosphere. (The complete curriculum can be found at www.archkckcs.org) At Xavier, people who put Christian values first surround children. Catholic education is a vocation for our teachers and administrators. The Leavenworth Special Education Cooperative, which serves all schools in Leavenworth County, assists students with learning disabilities and administers the gifted programs. The National School Lunch Program is available for Grades K-8. School uniforms are required in Grades K-8. Before and after school care is available for all sites.
