John G.'s Full Profile

I am a college student, currently residing in Oak Lawn, IL. I have been tutoring on and off since high school, after I scored a 34 on my ACT. I possess an Associate’s Degree in Mathematics, and have knowledge in most fields therein. My philosophy on teaching is that students learn best when they are supplied the proper tools to complete tasks, and move from basic to advanced concepts using these tools. I welcome divergent approaches to problem-solving, and am skilled in showing students how their methods utilize concepts I have shown previously. I prefer to tutor one-on-one, but have taught classes in chess, theatre, and algebra before. I prefer to meet in local coffee shops around 107th and Cicero and the Oak Lawn Public Library, though I can do house calls, if an adult is present. For further information, feel free to email me. I do not take calls on my phone from unrecognized numbers, but if you leave a message, I will be sure to get back to you.

About Tutor Bungalow

Noodle says

Tutor Bungalow is a tutor listing service. They provide no reviews, are not selective hiring tutors, provide no support for tutors, and do not background check their tutors. In short, there is no way to ensure that tutors from this service are skilled. If you are in the market for a low cost tutor, we'd recommend using a different tutor listing service.

Tutor Bungalow says

Tutor Bungalow is not a tutoring agency. We are a tutoring marketplace, helping to connect students directly with tutors. By allowing students to contact and pay tutors directly, we remove the middle man (tutoring agencies) and save everyone a lot of money!
