Student, Pensacola Catholic High School, Class of 2016,
Football is popular for both fans and players alike because it brings together the whole school. Spanish Club is very popular, especially when it's the time of year for the piñata party. Finally, the Ping Pong Club gained a large following. Yet, I feel that people like to forget the Engineering Club and Chess Club, which I consider to be among the most rewarding clubs at Catholic. The Engineering Club's design and building challenges have taught me a variety of lessons in teamwork, problem solving, and abstract thinking while helping me discover my love for engineering. The Chess Club allowed me to relax after school and do what I love while giving me access to a large number of opponents, all with different styles and skill levels, to play against.
