Student, Harvard University, Class of 2018,
As a freshman last year, my classmates and I were introduced to the set of things that we must do before graduating, one of which involved urinating on the foot of the quote, "John Harvard" statue, all to the dismay of the countless tourists I have warned but who refuse to listen. However, what my friends and I enjoyed doing were rather simple. One such activity included eating our meals in Annenberg Hall, all the while complaining about the food but admiring the architecture and scenery. Another activity, particularly for a Southern California boy like myself, was enjoying the feet upon feet of snow, doing so by retrieving trays from Annenberg to slide down the steps of Widener Library. The last activity we enjoyed doing together was simply touring the new-to-us area, especially the areas surrounding the Charles River, while chatting with friends and making new ones.
