Well first of all, if I remember correctly, it's a brilliant school for those looking into engineering (mainly why I'm there myself.) Secondly, the atmosphere is really mature. I like the feeling I get when I walk into a classroom, where I know for a fact, that I'll be respected by both my peers and instructor. Lastly, for the most part, everyone is just really nice to one another, and although that may not always be the first thing you look for in a college, I just love the small things like that. Whether it be someone volunteering to help you with a problem in your class, or something as small as having the door opened for you by some else.

I believe that the top 3 reasons that someone should attend UTEP is that the professors are reliable, its a great learning experience, and I believe it is still reasonable in tuition. When i started my lower division courses, the professors always seemed to care about what they taught so that the students have a good idea on what to expect in the field of engineering. They made me feel i was getting my money's worth.

The Nursing, Kinesiology and Business programs at UTEP are phenomenal and only getting better. The professors genuinely cares about the subject they teach and are willing to show you how to fall in love with the subject also. I would say the number three reason to attend UTEP would be to enjoy the beautiful weather we have year round. We have a long and sunny summer that does not consist of humidity. We also have a good winter that isn't as blistering cold as many places can be. The number 2 reason would be to enjoy the people of El Paso. We are such an inviting city and University. There are so many welcoming and caring people that will help you to fit right in and enjoy yourself at this university. The number one reason would be that we have a beautiful campus. We are located literally in the mountains. You can look out into the rest of El Paso and also see into Mexico from almost anywhere on campus.
