Curriculum

From writing to robotics, forensics to philosophy (sometimes at the same time) the curriculum at George School will challenge you, charm you, and change you. We offer a wide range of classes that focus on critical thinking, lots of AP courses, and modern resources like our solar-powered greenhouse. We are also one of only a few US boarding schools to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). This rigorous, comprehensive curriculum teachers you about the world while it challenges you-really challenges you-in subjects as diverse as Latin and calculus, photography and biology, literature and economics. As part of our core curriculum, George School also offers an extensive performing and visual arts program as well as religion and philosophy courses.

Mission Statement

With Quaker tradition as its touchstone and academic excellence at its core, George School seeks to develop citizen scholars cheerfully committed to openness in the pursuit of truth, to service and peace, and to the faithful stewardship of the earth. We want our students to treasure learning for its own sake and to use it to benefit a diverse world. Above all we want them to “let their lives speak.
