People are Washington Latin are thoughtful. We are taught a classical based education with a focus on not only what is going on, but why its going on. You can walk down the hallway and students could be discussing topics ranging from Socrates' trial to the conflict with Israel and Palestine without a teacher provoking them. The average student is also open minded. Our school is very diverse compared to most schools in the area. If you want a rigorous learning experience where the people will make you never want to leave, you should go to Washington Latin.

A typical Washington Latin student is devoted to his work. He would be driven to do well in high school because he knows how rough it is to live with no education. The majority of the students are here to learn and even though the curriculum is hard they still put their mind to their work. They won't give up at small setbacks and they are competitive to do better than each other but will always help others who are in need.
