Zenith Academy East started operation on July 1st 2010 with 50 students from Kindergarten to 6th grade. The enrollment has steadily grown from 100 in Jul 2011 to 300 in 2015. The current grade span is K through 8th grade. The location of school the is 2261 S. Hamilton Road. The floor space is about 30,000 sq. ft. and further expansion is being considered to accommodate more students. ZAE is sponsored by Saint Aloysius Orphanage. Zenith Academy East has finished four years of operation successfully. The report card of FY14 shows the performance index of 86.9% and a letter grade of ‘C’.
Zenith Academy East uses the Ohio Department of Education Standard for its Curriculum. ZAE is a school with focus on English as a second language. ZAE also has a Foreign Language Instruction component. We have State certified HQ Teachers. Our program has adopted Houghton Mifflin for Reading, Great Source for Writing, McGraw Hill for Science and Health and Saxon for Math Program.
Zenith Academy East’s mission is to provide high-quality, global conscious and competency-based education programs from Kindergarten to 8th grade. In partnership with parents and the community, ZAE will graduate students who are successful, life-long learners and responsible citizens of their school, community, neighborhoods, and beyond.
ZAE will meet the needs of the growing diverse population of Central Ohio, including the special student population groups that are challenged by Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and come with interrupted educational backgrounds. The Board of Directors will carry out the mission through the appointment of an appropriate superintendent, who will serve as a Single Point of Contact and will attend every single board meeting.
Public charter schools are supported through lower levels of direct, public funding, as well as though private subsidies. As with district public schools, they do not charge tuition to students who attend them.
