Curriculum

TVT learning is rigorous, progressive, contemporary and innovative. The program is project-based, hands-on, expository and real-life. Students from transitional kindergarten to 12th grade master skills for how to learn as well as acquiring the knowledge necessary to succeed in college and life. They learn the secret to asking the right questions to learn more: to question assumptions and take risks. They learn to search for connections -- personal, intellectual, academic and religious. They learn to embrace who they are and articulate their ideas passionately.

Extracurriculars

Today, the Lions Upper School fields 11 boys and girls competitive sports teams that compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIFSS). The Middle School is comprised of 8 boys and girls teams that compete in the Tri-Way League. In addition, the Lower School has Co-Ed teams, which in the Tri-Way League as well. Since 2000, TVT Upper School varsity teams have advanced to CIF Southern Section playoffs 62 times. The TVT Lions have won 16 league championships including the boys basketball team being ranked #1 in the United States by Jewish Hoops of America in 2009-10.
