Design Your Habits: A Hands-On Introduction to Behavior Design's Full Profile
In this class, we will use the principles and tools of Behavior Design to complete a practical project: designing a sustainable daily habit to improve your productivity, creativity, health, or wellbeing. In my work with Forte Labs, I've helped organizations like Genentech, Swissnex, and Fiat Chrysler understand and use the techniques of behavior design, and now I am opening up this method to a wider audience online. We will: Deconstruct and understand the Habit Loop, the basic model that governs habit formation Learn the most effective techniques for strengthening each component of a new behavior Combine these techniques in a personalized template based on my Habit Loop 2.0 model Why I Created This Class I created this class to address a paradox: most of us already know the behaviors we need to be more productive, healthy, and successful, but we don’t have a system for making those behaviors happen consistently. The emerging field of Behavior Design for the first time gives us a set of practical tools to create such a system. This approach represents a paradigm shift toward human-centered productivity that is more systematic, realistic, and sustainable.
