Student, Harbor Beach Community High School, Class of 2016,
At Harbor Beach, football is huge, boys play it and the student body enjoys the season. We actually won state champs in 2012. The whole town gathers to watch our home games. Dedicated fans, myself included, trudge through rain or shine to watch the away games as well. Most girls play volley ball. The most popular event with volley ball is the annual "pink game" where students and parents buy breast cancer awareness tee-shirts that the volley ball team designs. The whole town sports their pink shirts to watch the "pink game." A third popular extracurricular activity is the National Honor Society. Any student with a 3.2 GPA or higher is eligible to be a member. The students who decide to join are presented with multiple volunteer opportunities. NHS is truly an amazing thing and I recommend it to any student.
