The top three things that students do for fun at Kettering University are play intramural sports, attend events held by Kettering Student Government, and hang out with friends. Because Flint is a dangerous city, students tend to stay on campus instead of venturing around. Kettering Students are only at school for three months at a time. There are two student school sections at Kettering University - A-Section and B-Section. A-Section is in school from July-September and January-March, and B-Section is in school from April-May and October-December. Because of this odd schedule, Kettering students are not able to compete with other schools in sports. That is why intramural sports are so popular. Aside from sports, Kettering Student Government does their best to do a lot of fun, free activities throughout the year. For example, during winter term they have random Hot Chocolate days in the Great Court, free Buffalo Wild Wings night, they have rented in a mechanical bull in the past, and they have brought in numerous guest speakers and presenters such as The Onion. All of the activities on campus are fun to do with friends - hence hanging out with friends is one of the top three things that students do for fun at Kettering. Friends can play games or watch movies in the dorms, play arcade games in BJ's Lounge, watch intramural sports games, go to the rec center, and many other things.
