The most 3 extracurricular activities that are popular in Taft are student government, after school tutoring, and all our musical clubs. Student Government is very involved in the school and with the students. There is a lot of awareness made and I should know because I am in it. Also is the volleyball team because teamwork is made across the whole team. Last but not least is international clubs. It brings all cultures and heritages together and teaches others.

The three most popular extracurricular activities that my peers at William Howard Taft High School participate in include Band, Athletics, and Dance. I would recommend taking band out of these three because all the band members treat each other as family members. The bond between the band members has to be one of the best bonds I've seen in William Howard Taft High School next to the bond between the football team. I would also recommend Band because besides the great people one would befriend, it is also good exercise and is an entertaining extracurricular activity to participate in.

There's a wide variety of extracurricular activities to choose from at William Howard Taft High School. At the moment, I've noticed that many of the students are leaning towards things involving music, like band and choir, or things involving sports and exercise, like basketball and football. I personally don't get too involved with sports mainly because it isn't my thing, but there is a good program at our school. A program that allows the students to strive and better themselves in something they enjoy. I, myself, tend to lean toward the more artistic activities like photography and art.

At Taft, the program for art is very liberating, the teacher allows you to express yourself in your art, allowing plenty of artistic freedom all while guiding you through many different mediums of art that will help broaden your understanding of the whole field. I have friends that have taken photography, a class that is actually quite popular around the people that go here, and they all say that the class is a joy as well. Teachers offer a basic guideline to get you started, but ultimately the pictures you take are yours. The creative arts activities at Taft have always been striving, whether it be writing, photography, or art. We have a student body that craves the whole creative side of learning, and their hunger for it is most definitely fulfilled here at the school.

If you're into the whole physical side of the activities, then joining are sports programs is something you definitely want to do . The students train hard almost everyday to prepare themselves for upcoming games and tournaments, so the environment is always pushing you to go forward and do your best. I personally don't know very much of the program since I never did any sports myself, but all the players that do seem to enjoy it a lot and always look forward to their next practice.

Lastly, there's the music programs here at Taft. If you want to get into a program that's really good I recommend either joining orchestra or band, because I've never seen a group of people more happy to be a part of something. The band kids are really close and serious about their work. They're hardworking and kind, and joining them is something I'm sure any kid interested in music would most likely enjoy. It's a lot of hard work and practices are intense, but all those things are necessary for making the great band and orchestra that we have at our school today.

William Howard Taft High School has a vast assortment of activities for people to be a part of. A lot of the lesser known ones like, robotics and wood shop, weren't mentioned but they each deserve their very own round of applause for being amazing programs. In the end it's up to the student to decide on what they want to take, but there's nothing really here that wont impress you in some sort of way.
