It's hard to say which 3 activities are the most popular at my school because they're are so many to choose from. If I could group all sports in to a category then I would definitely say they are at the top of the list. There is so much variety when it comes to sports, from cheerleading to lacrosse to golf, our school offers a lot. Football games at the Big I are always packed with cheering fans as well (we were undefeated in 2014). Our theater program is also very popular and it helps that it's also very successful. We've had many individuals in the past year win awards at the Blumey's which is a high school theater competition. I really enjoyed going with a group of my friends to see the multitude of plays put on by our Patriot Playmakers. One of my favorite activities at school though is the student council. They do so much to bring liveliness to the student body and they really try to make everyone feel welcome. I love coming into the building everyday to see the walls covered in beautifully decorated banners supporting the clubs and sports teams here; stuco is also responsible for many of Independence's fundraisers and charity events. They not only better their school environment but they also try to benefit the community.

I would reccomend any of the extracurricular activities I listed above. No matter what you choose to get involved in, here at Independence, you will find a lot of really awesome people that share your passions.
