Thankfully, Waxahachie High School is a public high school, so everybody can attend. Isn't it great that we live in a country that provides a free, public education? As a school teacher myself, I am proud of the education our students are getting at Waxahachie ISD.
The type of student that will do well at Waxahachie HS is one who will work hard on academics, and may even get a jump on their college career through AP or Dual Credit courses. Most students participate in extracurricular activities coached and directed by excellent mentors. A successful WHS student also gives back to his or her community with volunteerism. These students come from poor and well-off families. These students are from many different backgrounds and cultures. They all have an equal opportunity to succeed at WHS.
These students should attend Waxahachie High School because of its excellence. WHS has exceptional teachers and wonderful extra-curricular activities. The staff offers many opportunities for struggling students to get help. There are many ways students can be active in serving others. Any graduate of WHS has had guidance for his or her future career too. WHS is a safe place to learn and grow; Waxahachie ISD is prepared to expand and improve the campus as well. Ground was just broken on a site for a new High School to be built.
