Student, Shenango High School, Class of 2016,
Shenango has several extracurricular activities, but the three top activities would be sports, peer leadership, and band. Surprisingly, these would also be the activities that I would recommend. Sports are huge at my school! We have a lot of school spirit. When you are involved in a sport and a team, you know that the school body is behind you. I have been part of a sport and the experience is beyond imaginable. All the coaches go above and beyond what they should. They will meet up hours before practice and work one on one with you, or they will stay until the late hours of the night going over drills, plays, and stats. Another activity would be peer leadership. I am part of peer leadership and it is such an honor. We do Make A Wish every year. Last year we raised enough money to not only grant one wish, but two! We had the child getting the wish come to Shenango and experience what we do! The smile on this little boys face will always be something to remember. You cannot get this kind of experience from anything else. Students love the word band. The band kids truly know how to have fun. They are always up for the challenge of entertaining the staff, students, and by standards. Let me tell you, they do an amazing job of this! Watching them during football and basketball games will put a smile on your face. They are always dancing and having the time of their lives! Shenango may be a tiny school in the middle of no where, but we do know how to have fun with our extracurricular activities! If you can spare a little bit of your time to join one of them, it is so worth it!
