Student, Scituate High School, Class of 2016,
At Scituate High School, the three extracurriculars that are most popular are Student Government, Student Council, and Peer Mentors. However, these activities are popular because they are low-commitment for students just looking to build their resume. I think extracurriculars are most rewarding when one chooses to actively get involved in something they are passionate about. This year, I was the Co-Editor-in-Chief of my school's literary magazine, Fathom. Fathom is a small club of about 10 students, but, over the course of the year, we collect art, short story, poems, and submissions from students across the school to be published in an annual magazine. Each year, I am amazed by the award-winning works submitted by students in my school and love the opportunity to be able to publish them and share them with my community. I would recommend any extracurricular a student is passionate about and can be actively involved in for the most rewarding experience.
