A typical student at California State University-East Bay is focused, determined and ambitious. California State University-East Bay primarily being a commuter school hosts a wide array of events to celebrate school spirit, but it is also very fast-paced, as students are usually rushing to class in anticipation of excelling in their next math or biology class and then heading home or to a dorm nearby to wind down after a long tedious day of being a dedicated college student. If you're ready to get down to business, California State University-East Bay is definitely the place for you!

A typical student here is a commuter. This means they live nearby somewhere and drive up to school versus living on campus. Most of the students have jobs and are family oriented. I have found that East Bay students are very focused on getting ahead and are very helpful to their fellow classmates.

There is not "typical Cal State East Bay student", because this school prides itself in being so diverse and unique. This is one thing I enjoy about my university; the fact that everyone is so different, and CSUEB fully supports all students. There are endless amounts of clubs and groups to join that reflects one's characteristics; and there are plenty of opportunities to help the student experience new things and grow individually.

CSU East Bay students are generally very nice. But one must excercise a little caution - because some of them may actually be Zombies pretending to be nice.

However, no worries: The risk of a Zombie attack while matriculating at CSU East Bay is actually diminishing. This is because the administration, seeking to maintain East Bay's reputation as the "most diverse campus in California," has made a concerted effort to make Zombies feel welcome and included. As a result, increasing numbers students from the Zombie Minority group are becoming more flexible with their diets. Some have stopped eating human flesh altogether, and have switched to the diet their human classmates eat; others have reduced their consumption of human flesh to once per month.

The typical person at East Bay is a full time student, is part of some club or organization, attends social gatherings, works out at the RAW (recreation and wellness center), uses the library on a daily basis, and loves free stuff. I can say for certain that all students love free stuff and enjoy student activities that don't involve high costs. If you're a student you most likely have eaten at the Dinning Commons, spent countless hours in the library, used the gym, attended some pep rally or concert sponsored by the ASI office and hangout at the Quad enjoying the presence of the students, activities, or great weather.

A typical California State University - East Bay student is normally calm and collected when entering a location with numerous strangers; such as a place like the bus, the library, and the University Unions. Despite this calm personality, students still act courteous and respect each others' decisions, while simultaneously finding ways to avoid getting involved with problems as much as possible.

When a student is around a person they are familiar with, they will often talk loudly at times, presumably forgetting that they are in a public place. They also tend to stick with specific friends and run into older ones randomly.

Some students tend to break this norm.
